I would continue from my previous post about Jussie Smullet in a couple of paragraphs. If you want to read my continuation post, click the jump below, or if you're here already, read below.
After the brothers told the Chicago police that Jussie Smullet is making a phony story about them, the Chicago police arrest Smullet. Needless to say, the Chicago police chief (who is African-American as of this post) is pretty ticked off and "offended" that some person like Jussie Smullet would take advantage of the racism that black people endure a lot to gain spotlight for himself - in this case: wanting more fame and fortune for his contract to be renewed for his role in the hit TV show "Empire" (also known as "Lee Daniels' Empire").
Still Jussie Smullet is still firm behind his story and his story wasn't made up or make-believe like the brothers told the police, even if the production team behind "Empire" have removed him from its final episodes of its current fifth season.
After over a month, Jussie Smullet has been released from custody after charges dropped but several people are still unhappy including the Chicago mayor and they want to launch an investigation of how (and maybe why) charges against Smullet were dropped, which they did. As of this writing they now launched this investigation.
Time will tell if Smullet is telling the truth all along or become a phony star that (almost) tarnish the image of the city of Chicago.
