The ponytail girl was then terrified, thinking she was busted.
As her mom is waiting for answer on the phone while staring at her daughter she knew something is amiss: she didn't hear a single smartphone ringing.
“Oh man,” the ponytail girl said.
“Yeah 'oh man” is right girl,” her mom said before she hang up the phone. “WHERE IN THE WORLD IS YOUR SMARTPHONE?!” She shouted. “DID YOU LOST IT?!”
“Um...Uh...,” the ponytail girl afraid to answer the question because if she lies (which she just did less than two minutes) She exchange nervous looks at her mother.
“ANSWER MY QUESTION: DID YOU LOST IT?” her mom asked her the question again.
“Um....yeeess,” the ponytail girl said it awkwardly.
Her mom walk towards her and SLAPPED HER DAUGHTER'S BEHIND HARD!
“OW!” the ponytail girl shouted.
“Why did you lost it?” her mom asked as she stepped back.
“Because-”
“I don't want to hear it no more,” her mom interrupt. “Here,” she left the room for a quick second. After a few seconds, she came back with a small device on her right hand. “Use this.”
The ponytail girl glanced at the small device. It is a FLIP PHONE, not really attractive phone to use. “But mom,” the ponytail girl tried to explain.
“Nope,” her mom shook her head. “No buts.”
“Can you just buy another smartphone?”
“What did you think I have the money to pay for it? Get out of here.”

He was the anchor of the aforementioned "The Newshour" when it was called "The Robert McNeil Report" and since he got promoted to co-anchor, the show has been renamed a few times from "The McNeil/Lehrer Report" to "The McNeil/Lehrer Newshour" to the legendary-named "The Newshour with Jim Lehrer", when Robert McNeil resigned from his co-anchor chair in 1995, to currently "PBS Newshour" in 2009. Lehrer would then leave the anchor chair in 2011. Back when I was little, I sometimes go watch "The Newshour with Jim Lehrer" for curiosity reasons. Though "ABC World News with Peter Jennings" is my preferred choice to watch, I would have to give ...
