Yesterday was the last day of Winter. Today is the first day of Spring

Yesterday was the last day of Winter. Today is the first day of Spring. You can read about it as well as my Winter experiences by clicking the jump below or, if you're already here, read about it below.

Tuesday, March 19th, 2019 is the last day of Winter and Wednesday, March 30th, 2019 is the first day of Spring. We all know that, Spring is a time of the year where flowers start to grow, trees start to grow and most of the grass start to grow. On top of that, there are Cherry Blossom festivals around the world (including one here in Washington, D.C.).

I know you guys (mostly adults) are tired of snowstorms mostly giving you trouble like power outages, slippery roads and other traffic conditions (such as stuck in traffic for several hours in a bridge, and one story that involve a group of bus riders pushing their bus through the story; I feel sorry for this people).

Do I got power outage? Yes, on a day where we have only freezing rain for several hours; it lasted almost four or five hours (compared to the 50mph of wind gusts that is supposed to cause a power outage in my home but amazing it didn't, and by the way, wind gusts like that even without a storm or even rain that comes with it would constantly make me nerve-wrecking because of fears of power outage, so much so that I couldn't even enjoy some personal things myself until the wind stop blowing without causing a power outage).

Do I got stuck in traffic during snowstorms,? Actually, I haven't gotten on the road at all during these kinds of snowstorms or other snowy weather situations.

Last but not least, do I play in the snow? Nope, but one day, I will. I wasn't into playing in the snow that much, even when I was a kid. But one day if I feel like it, I will play in the snow, even as an adult right now.

My thoughts about Spring: I'll have to make a thought about it later in another post.

Alright that's the stuff about the last day of Winter and the first day of Spring, so Happy First Day of Spring!

Jim Lehrer Passed Away at 85

Credit: Terry Ashe/The LIFE Images Collection via Getty Images So one of my memorable anchors in my childhood, Jim Lehrer - who was anchor "The Newshour with Jim Lehrer" (now renamed "PBS Newshour") when I was growing up - has died at the age of 85. He was the anchor of the aforementioned "The Newshour" when it was called "The Robert McNeil Report" and since he got promoted to co-anchor, the show has been renamed a few times from "The McNeil/Lehrer Report" to "The McNeil/Lehrer Newshour" to the legendary-named "The Newshour with Jim Lehrer", when Robert McNeil resigned from his co-anchor chair in 1995, to currently "PBS Newshour" in 2009. Lehrer would then leave the anchor chair in 2011. Back when I was little, I sometimes go watch "The Newshour with Jim Lehrer" for curiosity reasons. Though "ABC World News with Peter Jennings" is my preferred choice to watch, I would have to give ...
