Alex Trekbek and his fight to battle stage 4 pancreatic cancer

The game show host of Jeopardy has been through a health scare. Now he's having another health scare just a month after his recovery from a previous health scare.

Alex Trebek has been hit with serious fall that require him brain surgery and it was the reason for a couple of episodes being delayed or pushed back. Months later, he started to get full recovery and get back to work. But just after his recovery, about a month later, Trebek has but hit with another health problem. He has been diagnosed with a cancer...a stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He announced it to the public on the Jeopardy YouTube channel.

Although this cancer is pretty rare, it has been the leading killer among probably a few famous people. Among them are Steve Jobs, a technology inventor and a founder of Apple, actors Michael Landon and Patrick Swayze, and recently, Aretha Franklin, a popular music signer.

This cancer diagnosis is just really unfortunate for Trebek, who have just been back on TV after his recovery, and to me, it's unlikely that he would survive. However given that he has three more years, Trebek vows to fight back against this deadly cancer and wants Jeopardy viewers and the public to help him fight back, as he says in the video.

He was the anchor of the aforementioned "The Newshour" when it was called "The Robert McNeil Report" and since he got promoted to co-anchor, the show has been renamed a few times from "The McNeil/Lehrer Report" to "The McNeil/Lehrer Newshour" to the legendary-named "The Newshour with Jim Lehrer", when Robert McNeil resigned from his co-anchor chair in 1995, to currently "PBS Newshour" in 2009. Lehrer would then leave the anchor chair in 2011. Back when I was little, I sometimes go watch "The Newshour with Jim Lehrer" for curiosity reasons. Though "ABC World News with Peter Jennings" is my preferred choice to watch, I would have to give ...
